This website is a waitlist for something that does not exist as a product yet. These terms describe what that does and does not commit either of us to. They are short because almost nothing is being offered.

What this site is

souffleur.tech describes a tool that is being built and asks whether anyone else wants it. There is nothing to download, nothing to buy, and no service running on your behalf. The site is operated by one person, not a company, reachable at [email protected].

What joining the waitlist means

You get one email, if and when there is something to install. Not a newsletter, not a drip sequence, not a product announcement list. If Souffleur is never released, you will not hear from us at all.
You are not buying anything and not agreeing to buy anything. The pricing question on the form is research. Naming a number commits you to nothing, and no price has been set.
You can leave at any time by writing to the address above. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored and how it is deleted.
Use a real address that is yours. Signing other people up is the one thing that would actively harm this experiment, and entries that look like that are removed.

What is deliberately not promised

No release date, and none will be invented. Whether this becomes a product depends on whether enough people answer this page. It may not.

No promise that the tool will be invisible to screen capture. The application is designed to stay out of screen sharing and has been checked on two conferencing platforms, but no software can honestly guarantee this across every capture tool and every version of macOS. Nobody can, and we will not claim otherwise.
No promise about performance on your machine. The timings shown on the site were measured on live speech on one Apple silicon Mac, and are published with the number of samples and the slow tail rather than as a headline. Your hardware, your network and your AI provider will produce different numbers.
No promise about any AI provider. The tool is built to use an assistant you already pay for, under your own account. Those providers set their own prices, limits and policies, and can change them. That is outside our control.
No promise of a Windows version. The tool is macOS-only. The Windows option on the form measures interest; it is not a roadmap.

The site is provided as it is

The website is offered without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, it may contain mistakes, and it may change or disappear without notice. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from using it or from relying on anything written on it. Nothing here is professional advice.

The text, design and images on this site belong to its operator. You are welcome to quote or link to it, including critically, and to reproduce short passages with attribution. Please do not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.

The application, when it exists

If Souffleur is released, it will come with its own licence and terms covering the software itself. Those will not be these, and joining the waitlist does not accept them in advance. You also remain responsible for using such a tool lawfully and honestly, including any rules about recording or assistance that apply to the conversations you are in. It is built for meetings and sales calls, where the other side wants you to have the answer.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means the newer version applies.
